Science, Physics, and Mathematics are the main concepts of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge which are a video competition which aimed to encourage young people to develop a creative idea.

The competition was launched on September 1 this year. Andales may not be the Top Scorer in the said online competition, but Andales was fined with it as long as she was one of the representatives in Asia until the declaration of the winner. Participants should have the ability to explain simple and easy to understand a complex idea and should also demonstrate the ability to explain science. Creativity, Difficulty, Engagement, at Illumination, these are the four bases of video analysis they have made. This is the second time that Andales joined the competition. Last year, Andales won the Top Popular Vote because of over 300,000 views of her video. When Andales explained the concept of advanced Physics in a way that the average person could understand, Andales automatically became a finalist for her video presentation about Feyman's Path Integrals.

On December 30, Rizal's Day, the award will be awarded to her. Because of her success, she was included in the New Rizal 2017: Pagasa ng Bayan. Andales wrote her message on her Facebook account and she said,
“I’ve always looked up to two kinds of stars, those who shine at night, enchanting my mind about the universe, and those that shine before me now- these amazing scientists inspiring me with their genius and tenacity to pursue the truth.”
