We have the freedom to choose our own identities in today’s progressive perspective on gender. Members of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi, trans) community are experiencing an unparalleled level of acceptance. But what if one of them decided to return on their prior gender identity? A video clip that is uploaded to the social media showed a couple of pictures of a lesbian who changed into a beautiful and stunning woman. We discovered that the woman at the back these pictures are Dahlgren Acierto from Olongapo through Rated K. She then tells her story and said that it was all started when she was a kid.“Una po talaga, nagdecide ako na mag-cross dresser kasi strict po yung daddy ko. Ayaw nya na may lumalapit na kahit sino sakin. Since Grade 1 pa lang po ako, nagkaka-crush na po ako sa babae.”
“One day po nainlove po ako sa isang lalaki, kahit sarili ko po nagulat po ako don and pinagdasal ko din po yun na tulungan ako na maging straight… Gusto ko po magkaroon ng family ko.”
Dahlgren then changed herself and she now wore dresses and heels far from the rubber shoes and men’s clothes that she usually wearing before. She also stated that she is still done on being a lesbian even though her relationship with a man didn't last long. Dahlgren is now quietly waiting for her own Mr. Right.
