Part of the promise of the couple when they said their “I dos” in front of the altar is to love and care for each other, and they should stay to each other through good times and bad times, in sickness and in health. This is the vow that Limuel Orense De Silva said to his wife when they said their promises to each other in front of their loved ones and in front of our Creator. Unluckily, while his wife is three months pregnant with their child, she was stricken by a disease.
His wife was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome which is a disease where the immune system strikes the healthy nerve cells in a person's peripheral nervous system. Because of his wife's disease, she was unable and weak to move her whole body.
Unfortunately, because of his wife's disease, their unborn child was not able to survive. Limuel however, stays positive and even though the unfortunate situation happened, he still remained to the side of his wife all throughout her difficulty. The doctors, on the other hand, needed to form a hold in the throat of the woman to stop the additional complications and difficulties that might come from her disease.
The couple still dod not give up on each other even though the things get worse for them. Limuel’s wife was taken back to health after a few months. His wife never lost hope that she would eventually survive, even though it took her few months to recover from the illness. Meanwhile, she had to undergo therapy sessions to get her body moving again after she was announced that she was now free from the disease.
After a few moments, his wife was finally can walk without any people around her to support and assist her, not even her own husband. And the tube that is attached to her neck was also removed and she got another chance to live a normal life again. Limuel’s wife is still continuously taking treatments for the illness that strike her as of this writing. Both of them were grateful to God for giving the woman another chance to live a normal life.
