One of the main parts of becoming financially responsible with your income is saving money. It is only right that we plan for the future because earning for a living becomes difficult every day. However, there are unfortunate moments happen to us which it can take our hard-earned money away. Just like this stories of people who lost all of their hard-earned money because of termites that featured in “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.” These people believed that is is better that they keep their saving on them than to put it in a bank.

But they forget to use important precautions to stop that sad and heartbreaking situation. Jessica Soho featured the frustrating encounters that happened to Jem Lemuel Ramos and Jennilyn Badilde. Jem Ramos were wishing to have enough money in order for him to buy his own food cart business that's why he invested in his sister’s food cart business. From his investment, he achieved to save PHP 20,000. However, this young man chooses to hold his earned money to his wallet instead of putting it on the bank. But he hid his wallet under a heap of his clothes.

Unfortunately, the termites started to eat Jem’s hard-earned money as the money was left disregarded. The young man then was heartbroken and sad upon seeing that his saving were all chewed up. He admitted that what happened to him teach him an important lesson that he won’t ever forget. One of the victims of these annoying bugs is Jennilyn Badilde.

She wanted to save a money for her to purchase a dress that she will be going to use for her graduation that's why she puts all of her hard-earned money on a bamboo piggy bank. But it turns out that it was a wrong idea. The young woman narrated that she attempts to go to the banks in the hope that her half-eaten bills will be replaced however the banks declined.

Fortunately, the show then helps the two and assist them to go to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The bank’s representative then informed us on restoring the destroyed money. First is to see if the essential signatures are still there. In addition to that, you still needed to ensure if the serial number is still there if your bills are divided in half.
