According to him, the most significant development of a child is at an age between 3 years old, because through this stage may influence his attitude and potentials as an adult.
Here are the three things to consider, according to Dr. Willie Ong:
1. Dr. Ong said that during those first three years since they are still intact by outside environment, parent's must take this opportunity to mold the children's moral values. He also said that before at the age of 3, the parents should allow the kids to socialize with other people and make conversation with them instead of the kids were always on television or using a gadget. Toys and books are the most important instruments to improve the learning and knowledge of the kids, however, kids should be left without a companion. This will help you and your child interact with each other.
2. If your child is strangely quiet or withdrawn, you must first to initiate to communicate or talk to your children. And as a parent, to grow your child's self-esteem and self-confidence, you must always compliment them on the good things that they do.
3. When they are already 3 years old, let your children watch TV, however, you must give them an schedule or time to watch, like an extent of 1 hour or 2 hours per day. Dr. Willie Ong also said that in order for the children became family-oriented, good-natured and successful in their endeavors in life as adults, parents must need to give them enough care and guidance.
