Their data in POEA, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) using the i-DOLE system it will help the users to easily access their data using their OFW ID. Olalia said that in the last week all of the agencies have already signed the MOA for iDOLE except DFA.
As stated by Olalia, he said that
“After DFA signs the said MOA and data-sharing agreement, we will issue the guidelines (for the OFW ID)."The guidelines for a method of the OFW ID would contain issuance and application process. Olalia added that Dec. 5 and 6 are the day that they were targeting to print and distribute the OFW ID along with the arrival of the OFWs for Christmas holidays. Olalia also said that
“By the first week of December we will roll out the ID."For the printing of OFWs ID, according to Olalia that they were coordinated with the APO Production Unit, another signatory of MOA.
Olalia added that
“Once it is printed they (OFWs) could pick it up or may be delivered by APO to a location of their liking. They could also pick it up in POEA….”The ID of the OFW would be accessible only after they applied for it, Olalia stated.
Nevertheless, the dismissal of the guidelines was delayed because some stakeholders give their concerns about some of the feature of the ID. To recall, way back in July, DOLE has a soft launch of OFW ID.
