OFW saves a Saudi man with disabilities trapped in the flood of Jeddah City

In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, one of the Overseas Filipino workers became an instant celebrity because he helped a Saudi man who was polio victim who was trapped inside his car that sinks in floodwater last Tuesday. Saripada Dawood Balindong is from Pagadian City, who ignored all of the calls from other people to rescue the man. According to his interview in GMA Network, he said
"Sabi ko marunong naman ako lumangoy [so] nilangoy ko nalang lalo pa't nakita ko na umuurong na palalim ['yung sasakyan']" "Nakita ko sa kanya yung tungkod sa sasakyan niya," He added. "Binuhat ko siya tapos napansin ko yung kaliwang paa niya na maliit."

In the footage, it shows that Balindog offering a life jacket to the disabled man. But the lifejacket threw far from the man. As stated by Balindog he said that he that he did not know that someone filming as he saved the man. He added, that he was shocked when he sees the video has become viral on social media, especially on Facebook.

Balindong said that "Nalaman ko na [viral sa Facebook] nung gabi na 'yun na nagtawag sa akin ang pinsan ko at tinatanong ako kung ako daw ba 'yung nakita niya [sa video]."
