Being an OFW have many struggles and hardship in life. Not only in their works, family but also on their personal life for having a partner or lover with different nationality. A certain Pinay Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), 53 years old filed a cyber crime complaint against her American lover, 67 years old which was featured in the Kapuso News and Current Affairs program 24 Oras. The victim was hiding in the name Mila (not her true name) and revealed that her boyfriend lover Stephen Henry Giers allegedly disseminate her private pictures after she decided to break him on their relationship. Having an affair for almost one year, Mila(not her true name) recounted that she discovered that her boyfriend Giers was unfaithful to her and was involved actively in an adult dating networking sites.The Pinay OFW attempted to finish their relationship with her American lover. But unexpectedly, her boyfriend begins to post her private pictures on the internet and crazily forward to her relatives. The Pinay OFW added:
"Sa pamangkin ko, sinend niya rin po doon sa apo ko, 'yung may tablet at saka doon po sa anak ko, 'yung buntis tsaka 'yun pong nasa Mindanao,"She already filed formal charges against her American lover at the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group. Mila suffers scandal and trauma to her family members according to her:
"Iskandalo po sa akin at saka mga anak ko, nagkaron po sila ng trauma eh, pati mga kapatid ko po,"
Their relationship reaches up to almost two years and only started on exchanges of conversation through chatting and come to the decision of the American boyfriend to reside in the country.
"Bakit hindi natin subukan, tayong dalawa,' sabi niyang ganon. Sabi ko, 'hindi ako sure pero ta-try ko rin,"Mila told that her American boyfriend promised to help her support the education of her children. She added:
"Tutulungan kita pati mga anak mo, sabi niya, tutulong ako sa pag-aaral. Tapos noong dumating po siya rito, unti-unti na pong nagbago,"The authorities have received the charges of Mila against her boyfriend and presently collecting proofs prior to the submitting the case to the fiscal. The government authorities, The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group had reminded and warned the people of this type of person. It is also a warning to all OFW to be careful with their private photos to share with other people and keep it always secure and do not trust anyone.
