We usually see young kids who were selling rags and other stuff to earn money in the streets of Manila. We often see children who were going to ride on the public transportations to beg for donations. The teenager now is doing everything that they can to survive a day with their lives under the poverty list. An online user has recently taken social media to share her encounter with a little kid who pays her jeepney fare with rags.The young kid rides on the jeepney where she was on on the La Forteza Subdivision, North Caloocan city based on the post of the netizen. The little kid asked the driver of the jeepney how much that fare that she will be going to pay to go to Libis, Camarin. The jeepney driver then responded to her and said that it is only PHP8 having the student discount. The young girl was obviously a student because she was wearing her uniform at that time. However, she is carrying a couple of rags that she looked to be selling instead of carrying books and other school supplies.
The poor girl still asked the driver if she could pay her fare with rags even though her fare was already discounter minimum fare. The driver then answered yes. However, one of the passengers offered to pay the fare of the young girl. The driver then still stated that it is okay for her to ride for free. Furthermore, the similar passenger decided to buy one of the rags that she is selling. The young child then stated that it is worth PHP10 each and the kind man gave her PHP20. She said to the passenger that she does not have any money with her for a change.
Fortunately, the kind man said to her that it was alright for her to have the change. Another passenger buys rags from the young child. Just like the other passenger, she also gave the child a PHP20 and said to her to have the change. Then, an old lady who was sitting beside her asked her on what school she was studying and she said she was studying at Tala High School. The online user also tells that she shared the story of the young girl to tells to each of us how some people still proceed to live and achieve their education in spite of the obstacle and difficulty that they were experiencing.
