Filipinos are recognized for having a world-class quality voice when it comes to singing. A lot of our influential singers showed their exceptional talent in different international programs. Maria Laroco, 17-year-old has recently joined to the singing competition entitled X Factor UK.” This Filipina woman astonished and amazed the judges because of her great performance.
Maria positively song the popular song of the Amerian singer, Prince entitled “Purple Rain.” Maria also wondered about her dream to become an international star before she performed her own version of the song.
She then got a standing ovation from the audiences after the smooth performance and reach the high notes of the song. She also overwhelmed all of the judges on top of that. Ayda Williams, Robbie Willians, Simon Cowell, and Louis Tomlinson also stood up on their seat and applauded her performance when it was ended. She makes people captivated by her with only one song. Furthermore, she got amazing praises and compliments from the judges. Louis Tomlinson showed his shock and amazement on the exceptional performance of the young woman.
"That was absolutely incredible. To do what you’ve just done vocally at 17 you absolutely blew me away."
On the other hand, Simon Cowell asked her some challenging question. Simon asked if she has time in her life where she hesitated to join in a competition. Maria replied how she continues her dream in spite of the sharp judgments and critics from others while there was a tear in her eyes.
"I never gave up on my dream. A lot of times people tell me I’m not good enough and I can’t do it."Maria was already joined in the singing competition that held in our country entitled “The Voice Kids” in 2014. However, she wasn't able to win on the competition, and she is also 13-year-old at that time. She already suffered from this defeat at such a young age. Maria is now a contender on the show without an uncertainty to it. It is also proved to us that she is a person we should need to watch out. Even though she still not declared as the winner of the show, she already got the interest and hearts of many people.
