Motorcycle accidents have been quickly increasing throughout the years in the country. People who were riding on this vehicle can be weak and helpless when it comes to a road accident. That is mainly the reason why our government implements rules and regulations on the safety of the motorists. The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) was the one who was assigned to implement these road rules and regulation and punish those people who will not be following on it. But what if the MMDA officer was also the one who breaks their own rules and regulations? How can they successfully do his work if he is the first person that will break the law?A concerned netizen named Julius Caronan Dumalanta recently shared a video clip of an MMDA officer on the roads in Commonwealth Avenue on his Facebook account. The traffic enforcer was riding behind a motorcycle along with his companion as it can be seen in the footage. The motorist quickly saw that the officer was not wearing a helmet. He then quickly called them because he was confused on what they were doing. Julius then shouted to the MMDA officer while he was examined him for not wearing his helmet, particularly when he is the one who should implement the road rules. He even attempted to take the enforcer's name who was wearing his uniform at that time. The enforcer then attempts to get his dash cam however, he was failed on doing it in return. The person who was with the enforcer then decided to speed up to leave Julius there.
Online users quickly shared their sentiments and comments after the video was posted online. They immediately punished the unidentified MMDA officer for disobeying the rule. Some stated that they should need to discipline and teach themselves first before other people. Netizens were now seeking the authorities to know the officer who was featured on the clip and criticize him. Here are some of the reactions of the online users:
